Kent Ravens Youth Development

Learning new skills.

Since setting up in Dartford the Kent Ravens have made massive strides to get school children to play and involved with sport through rugby league.

The Kent Ravens schools curriculum and after school program positively promotes links between schools (both primary and Secondary), to provide qualified coaching, assist teachers in the sport and to meet these aims:

  • Provide new qualified volunteers
  • Meet the needs of young people within sport regardless of their participation levels.
  • Help people to realise ambitions in sport through player pathways.
  • Continue good standards of practice and put in place quality controls to ensure these are met.

All schools involved receive at least level 1 UKCC coaching and are given opportunity to compete with other schools in Dartford and from other areas

Schools involved:-
Leigh Technology Academy www.leighacademy.org.uk - Since September 2007
Northfleet school for girls www.northfleetgirls.kent.sch.uk - Since January 2008

This is the player pathway - a route that players can take to progress through the rugby league system and to gain representative honours.
