28/06/08 Norwich Saxons 54 - Kent Ravens 30

You could have been forgiven for not recognising the Kent Ravens Squad on Saturday, after 30 minutes of the match the Ravens were Five tries down, it had seemed the three hour trip to Norfolk had got out of their system and the new-look Saxons side were able to outpace the Kent side down the flanks on numerous occasions, but thoughts of a come back as grand as Ravens vs. Southampton a few weeks ago came to mind as the travelling team gain two tries from hooker Jeff Luland on the stroke of Half time, but with a mammoth score of 46 – 10 against them at the half time whistle blow this looked like a massive hill to climb.

It was a different side that emerged for the second half and the Ravens gained the upper hand early on by dominating the centre of the field and tries from Elliot Blackmore, two from inform Manbir Mann and a stunning play in the corner from winger Sean Franz while Darren Griffin added three conversions meant the side from Princes park took hold their heads up as they won the second half but still were on the wrong end of a 54 to 30 defeat as the Ravens’ away days blues continued

The Ravens next home match is scheduled to be a big one, with the Dartford festival across the road on the same day, fellow Princes Park occupants Dartford FC playing the night before and the Ravens on the brink of making the Play offs a massive crowd is expected,
